英国女王伊丽莎白二世今天发表了电视讲话，安抚民众，鼓舞士气。93岁高龄的女王已经很少发表正式演说，这次破例，是因为英国需要举国之力对付疫情，就像二战一样，当整个欧洲溃不成军的时候，是英国在废墟中站了起来，苦苦坚持，屡败屡战，直到美国参战，齐心合力改写了历史。
英国的形势不容乐观，周六708人死亡，创下单日死亡人数新高。
女王演说之后不久传来消息，首相约翰逊高烧不退，已经开始住院治疗。
约翰逊10天前检测阳性，一直在自我隔离。但是这么长时间也没有自愈，仍然有症状，包括发烧，所以在医生的建议下，住进了医院。
发言人说住院属于预防性质。
4月6号更新：约翰逊情况恶化，已经住进ICU，不过目前还没有到上呼吸机的程度。现在是最危险的时期，希望首相闯过这一关！
约翰逊的未婚妻，已经怀有身孕，一周前也出现症状，但是并没有测试，目前状况良好。
隔离期间，约翰逊仍然在履行首相职责，跟内阁大臣们保持密切联系。上个月，约翰逊任命了外交大臣Raab作为临时继任者，一旦首相因病不能继续工作，Raab会马上接棒，不至于出现混乱。
英国的卫生部长也感染了新冠病毒，但是几天后自愈，现在隔离期已满，每天主持新闻发布会。

我知道这是一个充满挑战的时刻。我们的国家正在遭受破坏：一些人非常悲痛，很多人遇到经济困难，所有人正在经历日常生活的巨大改变。
我要感谢在前线奋战的所有NHS人员，包括医护人员和承担必要职责的工作人员。他们离开自己的家，继续日常工作，无私地支持我们所有人。我敢肯定，全国人民都会和我一起，感谢你们的辛勤工作，感谢你们付出的一分一秒，以便我们能够早日恢复正常生活。
我还要感谢那些呆在家里的人。你们这么做，是在保护弱势群体，避免许许多多的家庭失去亲人的痛苦。我们将共同努力应对这一疾病，我想向你们保证，如果我们团结一致，坚决果断，我们一定会战胜疫情。

I am speaking to you at what I know is an increasingly challenging time. A time of disruption in the life of our country: a disruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, and enormous changes to the daily lives of us all.
I want to thank everyone on the NHS front line, as well as care workers and those carrying out essential roles, who selflessly continue their day-to-day duties outside the home in support of us all. I am sure the nation will join me in assuring you that what you do is appreciated and every hour of your hard work brings us closer to a return to more normal times.
I also want to thank those of you who are staying at home, thereby helping to protect the vulnerable and sparing many families the pain already felt by those who have lost loved ones. Together we are tackling this disease, and I want to reassure you that if we remain united and resolute, then we will overcome it.
I hope in the years to come everyone will be able to take pride in how they responded to this challenge. And those who come after us will say the Britons of this generation were as strong as any. That the attributes of self-discipline, of quiet good-humoured resolve and of fellow-feeling still characterise this country. The pride in who we are is not a part of our past, it defines our present and our future.
The moments when the United Kingdom has come together to applaud its care and essential workers will be remembered as an expression of our national spirit; and its symbol will be the rainbows drawn by children.
Across the Commonwealth and around the world, we have seen heart-warming stories of people coming together to help others, be it through delivering food parcels and medicines, checking on neighbours, or converting businesses to help the relief effort.
And though self-isolating may at times be hard, many people of all faiths, and of none, are discovering that it presents an opportunity to slow down, pause and reflect, in prayer or meditation.
It reminds me of the very first broadcast I made, in 1940, helped by my sister. We, as children, spoke from here at Windsor to children who had been evacuated from their homes and sent away for their own safety. Today, once again, many will feel a painful sense of separation from their loved ones. But now, as then, we know, deep down, that it is the right thing to do.

While we have faced challenges before, this one is different. This time we join with all nations across the globe in a common endeavour, using the great advances of science and our instinctive compassion to heal. We will succeed – and that success will belong to every one of us.
We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again.
But for now, I send my thanks and warmest good wishes to you all.
