中国文化讲究内敛,含蓄,谦逊。

比如,”飞洋在线是一家享誉全球的美国时评公众号!”这种话,我就从来不说。

起码不在公共场合说。

虽然那天还真有一个住在马耳他的中国人读过我们的文章,享誉全球这种话太大了,对吧,不够内敛。

前一阵子流行的吓尿体,厉害体,实际上有悖老祖宗的教诲。隔着大洋,你怎么知道别人尿没尿裤子?

但是这个谦虚的美德着实害苦了移民海外的中国人。

你哼哧哼哧干了一个月,解决了一个技术难题,但是轻描淡写两句就说完了。人家写了三行代码,但是口若悬河讲了半个小时还没停下来的意思,领导频频点头称是,你在角落里暗暗叫苦。

美国不兴内敛。虽然吹得天花乱坠也不好,但是你取得了什么成绩,一定要摆出来,这样别人才能看到。

政坛更是如此,你把功绩憋在肚子里,指望群众的眼睛是雪亮的,下次你就选不上。人家不知道你干了啥,为什么要投票给你?

不过永远不用担心老川总统太过谦虚,他压根儿就不知道内敛这个词。

他说NAFTA是有史以来最糟糕的毛衣协议!但是我把它废了,换成了最好的USMCA!你们都说我办不成,打脸了吧,哈哈。

这跟谦虚八杆子都打不着。NAFTA是不是最差,USMCA是不是最好,你可以去争论,但是你不能否认,他确实办成了。所以他不但要告诉你,而且下次还要告诉你,过两天发个推特再告诉你一遍。

本来媒体就不帮他宣称(不太光彩的事除外),他要自己再含蓄一点,那就别活了。

所以川总时不时就要晒晒成绩单,把自己的业绩一项一项列出来,再加上实打实的数据,目的就是给选民一个交代:你们把我送进白宫,这是到目前为止我完成的承诺。

下面这个单子是刚刚公布的,川普执政20个月业绩汇报单(List of accomplishments),总共列举了289项,分成18个类别。其中173个被认为是重大成果,116 项小胜。

单子太长了,我也没时间全部翻译,所以就挑着重点加了中文注释。

有些内容大家不太关注,但实际上意义重大。比如ANWR,比如Keystone XL输油管线,都扯皮好多年了。再比如Right to Try,让身患绝症的病人有可能拿到FDA还未正式批准,但是很有希望的实验药。大家可以想象在美国这个官司泛滥的国家,这个决定会涉及到多少风险和责任!这也是为什么几十年没人敢动的原因。但是川普的想法就很简单,已经没有办法了,试试新药有什么坏处?万一管用了呢?所以他就办成了,促成立法了。这听起来都是小事,媒体也不会替他宣扬,但是对于患者来说,可能就是生死之间。

美国的主流媒体90%是反川的,对他的业绩充耳不闻,但是艳星风暴一夜情可以连篇累牍地报道,CNN的头版头条恨不得一个月都跟艳星有关。而不论他做成什么,一半美国选民照样恨他,想想也是可悲。自媒体微不足道,凭良心说句公道话罢了。
